The Black Tusk stands as a striking pinnacle in Garibaldi Provincial Park in Canada. Its dark spire is visible from the Sea-to-Sky Highway and from the summit of Whistler Mountain. To the Squamish people, it is known as T'ákt'akmúten tl'a Ín7inyáx̱a7en, meaning “Landing Place of the Thunderbird.” The true summit is seldom reached, as the crumbling lava rock makes climbing hazardous. In both winter and summer, the peak rises prominently—an iconic landmark watching over the surrounding mountains.
