PHOTOGRAPHY GEAR & TOOLS

As my skills grow, I've realised that creating beautiful work isn’t about having expensive equipment—it’s about having the right mindset. Here are the tools I’m currently using for my landscape photography.

  • CAMERA

Panasonic Lumix GH5 - I’ve been a fan of this series since GH2. There are limitations to this body and format size, but I have accepted and adapted to them. Eventually, I will upgrade to hmmm?

Apple iPhone 15 - My most used tool.

Insta360 ONE X2 - Action cam for all types of scenarios

DJI Drone - Whenever I have the chance / permission to fly, this is my favourite way to experience my surroundings.

  • LENSES & FILTERS

Lumix 14-140mm f/4-5.8 - A great run and gun lens. Not the best, but not the worst.

Lumix 14mm f/2.5 - For those moments, I want to be incognito.

Lumix 100-300mm f/4-5.6 - Amazing to find the interesting details in wide landscapes.

Olympus 45mm f/1.8 - Favourite for photo portraits.

Rokinon 35mm f/1.5 - Favourite for video portraits.

Canon 60mm f/2.8 - Close focus allows me to get unique details.

Laowa 6mm f/2 - Fun lens to distort reality.

Metabones Adapter MFT - I have some full-frame lenses that I still like to use.

H&Y Revoring - I like the variable step adapter, so that I can use it on most of my lenses and the VND (1.5 - 10 Stops) makes it useful for most scenes.

  • TRIPODS & HEADS

3 Legged Thing PUNKS Corey - My travel tripod of choice. Light and versatile. Also, they endorse skateboard photographers.

Manfrotto 500 Fluid Head with Tripod - When I need to smooth video shots or mounts. I have had this set up for years.

JOBY GorillaPod - When I need to get a weird low angle shot or too lazy to carry a traditional tripod.

  • FIELD ACCESSORIES

Peak Design Capture Clip - I use it on my bags for those spontaneous holy sh*** moments.

Peak Design Leash - Stylish and functionally. It's like a seatbelt for my camera. Extra safety.

SmallRig Cage - Makes changing from horizontal to vertical perspectives quick. I can mount handles, microphones and lights.

Arca Swiss Plates - Attached to all my cameras for quick connection and release.

Garmin inReach Mini 2 - Hopefully, I never need to use the Emergency SOS. Provides a sense of security when I’m out in the mountains.

  • COMPUTER SETUP / SOFTWARE

Apple Mac Mini M1 - Saves space and money. I have actually travelled with it on longer destinations and used my iPad as a monitor.

Apple iPad Pro w/ pen - Use as Sidecar with iMac for any drawing or photo touch ups.

Starlink Satellite - On longer road trips, we bring this to connect to the internet. It’s great because you can subscribe for monthly services and then pause it. Note, it’s expensive.

Adobe Creative Suite - I use most of the tools available: Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Audition, Animate, Indesign, XD and other.

Figma - Mainly use it for web design, as I‘m sadly transitioning away from Adobe XD.

Topaz Photo AI - Sometimes it’s nice to have grainy, out-of-focus photos and other times I need that clean polished look.

M-Track 2 Channel Interface - Connects my mic, speakers to my computer.

KRK Rokit 5 Speakers - Trustworthy sound for small spaces.

Asus 27" Monitor - Precise colour management and multiple ports.

Samsung 27” Monitor - Average colours, mostly used for software real estate.

Wacom Tablet - Used for drawing or photo touch ups.

Dell Docking Station USB HDMI - Connects all my devices to the Mac Mini.

  • OTHER

Bluetti EB3A - Keep your devices charged during road trips. Plug it into your car while driving to keep it charged.
